What You’ll Do

As a Call Center Customer Service Representative (CSR), you'll be the voice of our energy efficiency programs, supporting customers interested in participating in clean energy initiatives. Your role will include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls, emails, and outreach to utility customers
  • Providing program information, answering questions, and assisting customers throughout their participation process
  • Managing response times, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring every inquiry is handled professionally and courteously
  • Using problem-solving skills to quickly assess customer needs and find solutions

You’ll also document customer interactions using our proprietary CRM system, coordinate with management, and assist in other administrative tasks as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous call center experience (inbound/outbound)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A detail-oriented approach with strong multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in typing, data entry, Microsoft Office, and web searches
  • A positive, professional demeanor and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Skills

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Experience with energy efficiency or the utility sector
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and a strong background in MS Office
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

Work Schedule & Compensation

Our call center operates from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Saturday. Each CSR will work 40 hours a week on a rotating schedule, with no work on NYSERDA-observed holidays.

  • Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000
  • Remote Position: TRC provides all necessary computer equipment.
