A Bit About Us

An established and rapidly growing FinTech company is looking to expand its team and add a Head of Data Science to its growing team. This is a remote position and the ideal candidate will have robust experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn), LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Olympus), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib) in an eCommerce or Fintech environment/industry.

You should also be well-versed in building data pipelines and ETL processes in a cloud environment.

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Head of Data Science to join our FinTech/eCommerce team in the Technology industry. This is a permanent, full-time, remote position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the future of data science within our organization. You will be working with a team of talented data scientists and engineers to develop cutting-edge solutions that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

As the Head of Data Science, you will

• Lead and manage our data science team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality output and continuous professional development.
• Develop and implement advanced analytics models and solutions using Python, R, Tensorflow, Pytorch, and Scikit-Learn.
• Design, build and optimize ETL pipelines and develop ETL processes to ensure the availability of clean, reliable data for analysis.
• Leverage your expertise in Large Language Models (LLM) to extract valuable insights from unstructured data and optimize our models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
• Drive the data strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our data science capabilities remain cutting-edge.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science leadership role.
• Expertise in Python, R, Tensorflow, Pytorch, and Scikit-Learn.
• Extensive experience in ETL pipeline design and development.
• A deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and experience optimizing models.
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of data scientists.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
