Remote Technology Business Development Director

Position: Director of Business Development, Technology Solutions (Remote)

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Director of Business Development to spearhead our team of Business Development Managers in the Technology Solutions domain. This pivotal role will be centered on identifying and closing significant, strategic accounts within the Enterprise and Commercial Markets, fundamentally driving growth and fostering innovation.

Location: This is a remote role, ideally suited for candidates in the Central or Mountain time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a robust acquisition strategy aimed at securing high-value prospects in the Commercial and Enterprise sectors of the Technology industry.
  • Guide and mentor Business Development Managers in their pursuit of large-scale, complex opportunities, specifically targeting organizations with over 2,000 employees and deal sizes exceeding $500K.
  • Leverage your vast experience in negotiating substantial contracts (greater than $1M annually) to engage effectively with C-Level Executives of Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Skillfully navigate intricate sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring the design of contracts that balance risk management with customer value.
  • Lead high-value negotiations, emphasizing our value proposition while maximizing margins and facilitating successful closures.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales leaders, and various functional partners to craft strategies for significant financial deals, thereby enhancing win rates and profitability.
  • Remain attuned to industry trends and emerging shifts in the technology landscape to adapt and refine our sales strategies continually.
  • Create persuasive business proposals that showcase our organization as a provider of differentiated solutions and services.
  • Cultivate and sustain senior-level relationships with key accounts, advocating for customer needs while maintaining a focus on long-term financial interests.

Required Skills

  • Extensive negotiation skills with expertise in managing complex sales cycles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for leading, mentoring, and inspiring teams.
  • Strong financial acumen, coupled with the ability to develop effective pricing and financial models.
  • Proven track record in securing large-scale deals and negotiating at the C-Suite level within Fortune 1000 environments.
  • Ability to identify and engineer innovative solutions that align with global business objectives.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of distinguished sales experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within a B2B context.
  • Demonstrated success in closing large-scale, intricate deals and engaging with executive leadership.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Client Services, Legal, and Finance.
  • A consistent history of surpassing sales targets and financial commitments.
  • Strong business acumen, forecasting capabilities, and persuasive influencing skills.
