Clearwater positions open to candidates located in greater Tampa Bay area.

The individual in this role is responsible for leading the reporting and analytics function to deliver data-driven insights. Oversee BI tools administration, and develop dashboards and analytics apps aligned to business goals. Communicate with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and to inform strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a reporting and analytics team that creates reports, dashboards, and analytics apps
  • Stay current on business knowledge, reporting best practices, new techniques, and technologies to enhance capabilities
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify reporting and analytics needs, and develop solutions to provide relevant insights
  • Provide genuine recommendations as to the hiring, firing, promotion, and discipline of subordinate employees to which the Company gives significant weight

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or equivalent plus 5 years technical experience
  • MS or equivalent plus 3 years technical experience
  • Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years technical experience
  • 3 years experience managing reporting and analytics teams
  • Apply extensive data analysis expertise to solve real-world challenges and identify improvement opportunities across multiple projects, teams, and business units.
  • Possess a keen ability to discern solutions from complex data sets and translate insights into strategic opportunities for the company.
  • Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics to support key business decisions.
  • Oversee the data/report requests process, including tracking requests, prioritization, and approvals.
  • Excellent ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables by implementing comprehensive policies and processes for reporting employees.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure compliance with quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Anticipate future demands related to people, technology, budget, and business within the department, and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analysts, data employees, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-structured Python code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • Proficiency and experience with the following tools/programs: Looker, Snowflake, DBT, Gitlab, Jira, AWS, and Salesforce.
