Our client is seeking a Legal Research Analyst who is adept at navigating complex legal databases, synthesizing complex data, assisting with legal technology projects, and facilitating training opportunities for their staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive legal research using various online and print resources
Analyze and synthesize complex legal information into clear, concise reports
Support attorneys by locating relevant statutes, regulations, and case law
Develop and manage information alerts on relevant legal developments and company news
Design and deliver educational sessions on research methodologies and tools for staff at all levels
Maintain and update the firm's internal knowledge base
Develop user-friendly guides and reference materials to enhance access to information resources
Collaborate on initiatives to improve information organization and retrieval within the firm
Assist in curating and organizing the firm's legal knowledge assets
Stay current with emerging trends in legal research and information science
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Library Science or Juris Doctor preferred
3+ years of experience in legal research or a related field
Strong proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with legal technology and willingness to learn new tools
Experience in developing training materials and conducting workshops is a plus
