Job Summary
Candidates should demonstrate extensive research experience in the fields of neuroimmunology and substance abuse, with a preferred focus on mechanisms of HIV-induced neuropathology. The ideal candidate would also have some background in translational research. This individual will be involved in ongoing NIH-funded projects (PI: Meucci). This experienced researcher is also expected to facilitate teamwork and participate in the training of graduate students and ultimately enhance the research potential of the whole group.

Essential Functions
- Organize and perform technically advanced experiments.
- Train junior graduate students/research assistants in basic daily tasks.
- Prepare experimental reports and material for presentations.
- Manuscript/grant writing skills.
- Literature search.
- Assist PI in the coordination of clinical collaborations.
- Conduct sophisticated statistical analysis.
- Minimum of a PhD in a relevant biomedical science discipline
- Minimum of 7-10 years post-doc work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Content expert in neuroscience, neurodegenerative disease, substance use disorder.
- Typically sitting at a desk/table.
- Typically standing, walking.
- Center City – Philadelphia, PA.
