:
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Houston invites applicants for a Research Professor position. The duties required are: (1) Develop efficient methods for maintaining day-to-day operations of the laboratory; (2) Conceive and construct proposals for external and internal funding; (3) Collect data and information needed for progress reports and prepare drafts of those reports; (4) Prepare and correct manuscript drafts for submission and publication; (5) Provide guidance and mentorship to laboratory co-workers; and (6) Maintain an adequate inventory of equipment, chemicals, and other materials.

Qualifications
:
The required credentials and skills are: (1) PhD in Chemistry or a closely-related field; (2) Research experience with self-assembled monolayers; (3) Research experience with nanoparticles, nanocages, nanowires, and nanofibers; (4) Research experience with polymers and polymeric coatings.
