Research Leadership: Investigate fundamental questions of intelligence, knowledge, and understanding to develop human-level AI
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal and external researchers to advance our research goals
Mentorship: Mentor a small team of research engineers, guiding their development and contributions
Experimentation: Design and run machine learning experiments to test hypotheses and advance understanding in the research areas of interest
Communication: Clearly communicate research ideas and intuitions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Program Coordination: Create and coordinate a research program to address key research questions effectively

Accomplished Researcher: A highly accomplished machine learning researcher with a track record of high-quality papers at top conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) or equivalent accomplishments in the industry
Research Question Design: Skilled at formulating research questions that clarify the nature of the problem and coordinating a program to answer them
Experimentation Expertise: Extremely comfortable designing and running machine learning experiments
Effective Communicator: Able to articulate ideas and intuitions clearly and effectively
Mentorship Ability: Excited to mentor and develop a small team of research engineers
