Be able to create accurate construction documents from conceptual sketches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Create construction documents that typically include:
Foundation plan
Framing plans
Floor plans
Elevations
Sections and details
Schedules
Electrical plans
Site and grading plans
Have a thorough understanding of wood framed construction and residential construction.
Have a thorough understanding of the residential building code.
Be dependable and able to manage time effectively while working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
Be able to make red-line corrections after QC checking.
Possess accurate note taking skills and follow though from client and co-worker meetings.
Possess positive professional work ethic in a non-smoking office environment.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 5 years experience in an industry related position.
Proficient with the following software: AutoCAD, Sketch-up (not required, but beneficial), Photoshop (not required, but beneficial) and Microsoft Word.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Complete daily task using the resources provided by the company.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Residential Draftsman will answer to the VP of Design.
Agree to and follow all standards noted in the Employee Handbook.
