Respiratory Therapist

Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for part time Respiratory Therapists. This position is within our Skilled Nursing Department. Weekend shift four to six hours per shift, maybe up to eight hours depending on caseload.

Every weekend. Candidate should possess a passion for the geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of Illinois, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.Job Duties:Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non-respiratory illness.Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.Complete a variety of bedside treatments.Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.Responsible for completing daily and weekly documentation.Experience with tracheotomy.Experience with short term care evaluations.Experience in a long term setting.Follow procedures and protocol of facility.Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.Performs related duties as required.Qualifications/Requirements:Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.Licensed as RRT or CRT.Licensed in the state of IllinoisCPR CertifiedThis organization does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of ancestry, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, military status, veteran status, or disability.
