Duties

The Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner will perform all respiratory care techniques in both critical and non-critical care areas. They will assist and advise staff Certified Respiratory Practitioners. Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Aerosol therapy
• Oxygen therapy
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT)
• Incentive spirometry
• Mechanical ventilation
• Arterial blood gases
• Pulmonary function testing
• Pulse oximetry
• Assisting with fiberoptic bronchoscopy
• Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  
  

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program with an Associate Degree.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC.
• Current Florida RT or TT license.
• CRT is accepted, but must become a Registered Respiratory Therapist within 36 months from initial hire date.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification.
• NRP Certified within 90 days from initial hire date.
• Prior acute care hospital experience is required.
