REVENUE MANAGER - Remote

Job Summary

In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of Revenue Management for the In-Group Hospitality portfolio of hotels across the country.

This position will optimize hotel profitability through all property revenue streams. Responsibilities will include monitoring, managing, and maintaining group and transient inventories to ensure the efficient and effective balance between demand and availability. The Corporate Director of Revenue Management must understand and support the online distribution channels, rate, and inventory distribution each hotel in the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all weekly, monthly, rolling forecasts and annual budgets using various reporting and Brand systems. Lead the continual improvement of the forecasting process.
  • Initiate forecast and long-range meetings with hotel general managers and Regional Operations Directors.
  • Participate in the preparations of the hotel budgets with the input of sales.
  • Contribute to the development of the hotel's marketing plan.
  • Prepare revenue meeting agenda, supporting documentation and minutes and include both data and recommendations.
  • Proactively analyze and communicate business trends and booking pace to revenue team in comparison to the market, last year, forecast and budget within the hotel.
  • Review and finalize strategic action plans for regional and corporate leadership.
  • Assist in providing recommendations to property Directors of Sales for Corporate and Leisure account strategies based on past production and future expectations.
  • Facilitate discussion on trends, market growth, and selling initiatives.
  • Work with the Sales department and define booking terms, conditions, and allotments for all segments. Where applicable to work with Property Sales teams and leadership to define space release polices, catering minimums, etc.
  • Evaluate daily, weekly and monthly market share reports to understand trends and opportunities vs. competitive set and the market as a whole and ensure targeted relative RevPar positioning is achieved.
  • Effectively use Brand and other revenue systems to determine, implement, manage and control accurate and agreed upon revenue management strategies, i.e. pricing, inventory and selling strategies.
  • Train Revenue Managers on key areas of revenue and yield management and adhere to operation's standards and ensure successful execution of revenue maximization efforts.
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills by applying broad business knowledge and balancing short- and long-term perspective while leading the team to achieve them.
  • Build relationships and eliminate insular thinking by fostering a positive climate for work relationships and teams committed to achieving organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate business ethics and personal integrity by adhering to all standards, policies, and procedures (SOPs, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to various hotels to experience the hotel, travel may occasionally be overnight.
  • Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time, either seated or standing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a revenue management.
  • Experience managing a team of associates, remotely.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
