ORC is seeking a full-time, exempt Right of Way Assistant Project Manager to work on projects throughout the New York Metropolitan area and will work primarily at the ORC office in Manhattan for Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) projects, although some remote work may be allowable based upon field activity and office coverage.
Picture yourself in an amazing work environment surrounded by a vibrant team that is not only there to challenge and support you, but also will inspire you every day! Leadership is transparent, flexibility is key, and autonomy is part of the job. At ORC, diversity matters, voices are heard, and leadership shows they care.
What you will be doing:
As our Assistant Right of Way Project Manager, you will assist in managing complex, federally funded public sector Right of Way projects. You will perform task work to include but not limited to acquisition/relocation activities. You'll work alongside the Project Manager (PM), our amazing clients and other members of the Right of Way team to make sure their projects are executed seamlessly, from start to finish. From ensuring the right scope of work is in place to tracking and monitoring the project budget and financial requirements, you'll have your hands in every part of the project lifecycle. But that's not all! You'll also be building relationships with key vendors and agencies, pursuing new business development opportunities, and supporting our recruiting efforts. As the day-to-day manager of the project, you'll be responsible for keeping us on track, from timely project reporting to sending invoices to our clients. And if that weren't enough, you'll also be managing our team of direct reports, making sure everyone is performing at their best and ensuring the project stays on schedule.
We are looking for someone who:
