The Role:
Performing testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian and other International product performance standards.
Ensuring that all safety testing (both laboratory and field), inspections, certifications, reports etc. are done in accordance with ISO Quality Manual;
Providing local expertise in one or more product categories and mentoring and training less senior technical personnel.
Independently, conducting on and off-site evaluation of products to determine compliance with applicable standard(s).
Providing on-going support to clients as needed.
The Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably electrical engineering) and/or Associates or Technical degree or Technologist (BSc, B.Eng or CET) in an appropriate technical field.
Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and other International product safety standards, i.e., ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC, IES, CIE is preferred.
