Safety Manager

We are growing and have an excellent opportunity for a Bilingual Site Safety Manager to join our team. As a Safety Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing safety practices on all projects. You will have the authority to require change in all project operations involving safety, health, and environmental issues and are expected to consistently follow company procedure to ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws and regulations as well as corporate policies.

Your Responsibilities In This Role.

• Conduct regular project safety inspections and show a strong presence in the field
• Concentrate efforts on projects or areas of concern or weakness when required
• Teach, coach and mentor co-workers gaining their trust and increasing their knowledge as well as buy-in to an overall culture of safety, conduct safety trainings with employees
• Document project safety inspections
• Identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying the worksite conditions and work practices.
• Help with new-hire safety orientations
• Conducting other duties as assigned by the Safety Director

What You Need To Qualify

• 4-year college degree or 2 years occupational safety/health training with at least 3 years construction experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Training for the Construction Industry
