Position Description:
The Systems Application Engineer is responsible for technical design, configuration, implementation and support of the most common solutions we sell, including but not limited to; video management systems, access control systems, emergency communications systems and asset tracking systems.
Responsibilities:
Customer Technology Delivery
Participate in all activities for a customer solution delivery, including:
Customer presentations
Customer admin and user training
Collecting project business requirements and converting the technical solutions
Initial site survey - Technical review & documentation
System design, configuration and review
Engineering labor estimation efforts
Review all designs and technical documentation
Installation support services
Maintaining systems to meet maintenance program SLAs
Technical Sales Support
Support sales team in customer presentations, preparing proposals, solution recommendations, and creating bill of materials.
Customer Support/Incident Management
Support customer questions, support needs remote and on site as required
Manage customer TAC cases as requested
Customer Implementation
Configure core application for customer system installations, which includes:
System configuration, testing, troubleshooting and review
Requirements:
Good understanding and working knowledge of Video Surveillance and Access Control Systems in an IT Networking environment.
5 years minimum Safety & Security experience, including designing, application configuration, troubleshooting and analysis
Ability to learn and perform professional information technology work that is complex, and varied in technology, integration and applications.
Excellent consulting/interpersonal skills with customers
Strong analytical skills with an ability to quickly diagnosis an issue and provide relevant facts to team members
Relevant experience in Physical Security in Cloud environments.
Ability to quickly learn new applications and willing to explore independently
Self-starter, Quick Study, Critical Thinking, Proactive Approach, Team Player
Strong organizational skills
Light travel required
Experience in small company environment a plus
Education/Certifications:
Milestone Certification Strongly Preferred
Axis Video and Access Certification Required
Other Access Control Certifications Required
Network Plus or equivalent
Cisco Certifications a plus
Experience in an IT environment a plus
