Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time dynamic and experienced Sales Director or Manager, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Sales. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling to Mass markets including Target & Walmart and comes from either a Toys & Games category or a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) background. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for all channels and sizes as well (ex. Book stores, hobby stores, mid-sized stores, grocery, convenience, dollar, drug, club, etc.) and have excellent relationships with all accounts, no matter how small. This role is ideally a hybrid role with strong preference for location in Columbus, Cincinnati, or Dayton but could be flexible for the perfect candidate outside of these cities in a more remote capacity. This role offers the opportunity to join a close-knit team and play a key role in shaping the future of Dolphin Hat Games.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand distribution across all channels.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners – meeting their needs and providing tremendous value as a trusted partner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize product placement, promotions, and marketing efforts.
• Search for new opportunities for growth by gaining new accounts and developing relationships with existing accounts.
• Enhance processes and systems for managing accounts more efficiently.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to inform sales strategies.
• Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales management, with experience in mass channels such as Target and Walmart.
• Passionate person who is enthusiastic, optimistic, driven, proactive, and a pleasure to work with.
•  Experience selling in the toy/game category or consumer packaged goods is strongly preferred.
• Strong network and relationships within the retail industry, particularly in the mass, hobby, and book store segments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to make compelling and polished presentations in PowerPoint, Canva, or similar system for buyer meetings.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and creativity.
