As a Sales Engineer at Orum, you will play a vital role in ensuring our prospects and customers have an exceptional experience within our platform. You will act as a key resource in both pre-sale and post-sale processes, combining your technical expertise with strategic consulting to drive customer success. You will be part mentor, project manager, consultant, and product specialist, dedicated to helping prospects and customers improve their sales development efforts and achieve success with Orum.
Sales Engineers work closely with pre & post sales teams, product teams and customer success to understand customers' business objectives, scope and execute platform pilots, execute technical implementation, and consult on the best strategies to be successful with Orum.
Salary: OTE ranges from $120,000 - $138,000 - if you're selected, we'll make an offer within this range that matches the experience you're coming with. We respect your time and don't intend to waste it.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with prospective and new Orum customers to provide comprehensive pilot onboarding, integration support, education, and documentation
Configure and set up all platform features to ensure seamless implementation
Ensure external systems are configured and optimized for use with Orum
Highlight Orum's unique advantages against perceived alternatives and competitors
Understand customer growth goals, strategies, and initiatives to recommend best practice use cases
Establish and maintain relationships with key executive stakeholders within your portfolio
Build additional champions with Revops personas during the sales cycle
Drive the adoption of Orum’s product features to maximize customer value
Stay current on Orum’s product updates and develop use cases to drive customers to best practices
Identify potential risks to customer success and recommend mitigation strategies
Produce internal best practices and customer user stories to strengthen the customer adoption process
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product Management, and Engineering to address customer needs and feedback
Document the outcomes and insights from the pilot process to assist our customers and in-house teams
Must Have
2+ years of sales or sales ops experience in a tech company, preferably with hands-on experience using Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, and/or Salesloft
Experience in SaaS implementation, sales development, or customer success
Ability to independently learn new systems and skills to enhance work quality
Comfortable with ambiguity, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth start-up environments
Proven track record of achieving results and meeting quotas or expectations
Strong technical skills and product savviness
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support shared outcomes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Passion for standardized processes and customer success
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Must be based in the one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, NV, NM, OR, WA
Travel to customer sites required (25%-50%)

Certifications in relevant products: Outreach, HubSpot, Salesforce
Sales Operations experience
Experience replying to RFPs
Early-stage startup experience
Excellent documentation skills
Experience implementing Orum at another company
