Summary:
Promote the sales of architectural, commercial, industrial, and/or specialty coatings, painting equipment, and related paint sundries to customers in an assigned territory using effective, ethical, and professional sales practices. The primary determinant of success in this role is the achievement of results (sales revenue, gallons sold, gross margin dollars) against defined, periodic goals.

Promote the sales of architectural, commercial, industrial, and/or specialty coatings, painting equipment, and related paint sundries to customers in an assigned territory using effective, ethical, and professional sales practices. The primary determinant of success in this role is the achievement of results (sales revenue, gallons sold, gross margin dollars) against defined, periodic goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed objectives with respect to sales revenue, gallons sold, and gross margin dollars
- Collaborate with store managers to ensure the best possible levels of customer service; avoidance of product returns and mis-tints; efficient management of inventory; and appropriate handling of customer accounts, which may include the occasional delivery of product
- Find, qualify, and close revenue-generating leads
- Pursue incremental growth in existing accounts by staying close to the customer, finding opportunities for the customer to purchase product, and taking all steps necessary to effectively manage the customer relationship
- Provide accurate project estimates. Quote price and terms of sale
- Promote the fair resolution of customer issues, including those that pertain to product performance
- Follow through on account leads from segment (e.g., property, architectural, commercial, and industrial) sales representatives
- Support marketing and promotional activities
- Regularly participate in all Company meetings, functions, and trainings as required
- Participate in relevant professional organizations, associations, trade shows and conventions
- Assists the General Manager in managing entire operations of company, which includes daily decision-making, staff support, customer interaction, scheduling, operations, P&L, cost controls/management, inventory regulation, building sales, community involvement, all safety and security standards, profitability expectations and effective planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
- Maintains ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
- Exercises good judgment and effective decision-making
- Supports the General Manager in managing staff’s expectations and performance
- Supports the staff in their perspective roles and assists the GM in projects, timelines and accountability
- Ensures the expected ambiance (cleanliness, organization, etc.), safety and security are enforced
- Maintains a safe working and customer experience environment to reduce the risk of incident or injury
- Ensures proper security procedures are in place to staff members, customers and company assets
Product
- Ensures we have the right product on the shelves with the right par levels
- Meet with vendors regularly and maintain strong working relationships
- Keep up with industry trends and new products available
Account Management
- Maintains a specific list of customer accounts (to be agreed upon with GM) including routine calls, job projections, sales and orders
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
- Ability to use a computer for various business applications including CRM and MS Office and to find information and perform research on the Internet
- Ability to prepare and organize numeric and non-numeric records and data in digital and print formats, including contracts, activity reports, and expense reports
- Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and flex with the circumstances
- Good time management skills
