The Sales Trainer supports the Sales team at Stanley Martin Homes by assisting in developing, maintaining, and delivering dynamic and innovative professional development and learning experiences.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Assists in onboarding new hires and ongoing employee training initiatives to increase individual competency and readiness in selling skills, knowledge, policy, process, and systems
  • Leads development and maintenance of our training content, exercises, presentations, and accompanying materials to ensure that Stanley Martin continues to develop a robust, engaging, and comprehensive training program for our Sales team members
  • Responsible for maintaining, tracking, and analyzing the Sales teams within Stanley Martin's Learning Management System, ensuring that any required coursework and onboarding materials have been assigned and completed
  • Works closely with Sales team members to create training and communications to increase the adoption of new technology, tools, and processes that improve our efficiency and effectiveness
  • Determine specialized training needs by conducting needs assessments, observing system performance analysis/reporting, and gathering feedback from division leadership
  • Provide 1-on-1 training and coaching of Sales team members in the flow of work to increase job readiness, selling skills, and efficiencies
  • Consistently apply adult learning theory and facilitation/communication methods to training design to ensure reaching the broadest possible audience effectively
  • Become a subject matter expert on the Sales function inside of the DXC Homebuilder platform to support onboarding and ongoing training efforts
  • Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by manager
  • Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment
  • Adhere to and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Stanley Martin

Position Standards

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Presentation and training skills – both small and large group settings
  • Systems training and technical writing background preferred
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, positive attitude

Position Requirements

  • Proven Sales experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office 365 Suite
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Related experience required
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Remote (must live in either VA, MD, WV, GA, NC, SC, or FL)
