Custodian needed to work at SAU building 3 hours per day M-F 5:00PM - 8:00PM.

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs as scheduled by the head custodian, including all custodial duties.
  • Follow written work schedule and complete Cleaning Checklist.
  • Operate assorted power machines, such as but not limited to, scrubbing/buffing machines, wet/dry vacuums, rug shampoo machines, etc.
  • Perform various tasks requested by head custodian, principal, and school personnel. Fulfill requests specified on work orders.
  • Responsible for checking all exits, windows and doors to see that they are properly closed and locked. Secure building and set alarm.
  • Empty trash into dumpsters and recyclables into designated containers each day.
  • Climb heights to perform required duties
  • Sweep, dry mop or wet mop floors and stairs and vacuum carpeted areas daily to remove dust, dirt, paper, etc.
  • Help with snow removal when needed.
  • Available for additional work and/or overtime as required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
