Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Perform analysis related to clinical supplies, formulation development, stability, and process scaleup.
- Design and conduct analytical methods development and validation studies to prove scientific hypotheses.
- Develop and conduct product degradation studies and interpret results. Calculate, check, and/or compile analytical data.
- Perform technology transfers.
- Train incoming laboratory personnel with respect to technique and job function. May supervise other laboratory personnel.
- Author and/or review protocols, technical reports, Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Test Methods, and Specifications.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Attend professional meetings and/or review literature to evaluate and remain current with new equipment and techniques. Present analytical reports to other departments.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree and three years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
- Must be competent in modern laboratory techniques and instrumentation, such as; HPLC, GC ICP-MS and/or other analytical techniques.
- Must possess working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry requirements as listed in United States Pharmacopeia, European Pharmacopeia and The International Conference on Harmonization Guidelines.
- Must possess good communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills. Must possess competent computer skills with programs/applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
