About The Job.

Why This Job is Important. As a Scientist I you will play a key role within the Nice Pak R&D organization, providing technical and development support for our existing Private Label and Branded wet wipes portfolio. In this role, you will conduct all required technical testing and development activities for key project initiatives, including formulation work, lab batching, technical testing, stability testing, and manufacturing product support. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking to leverage and develop their technical skills, with an opportunity for career advancement in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging work environment.

What You Can Expect In This Role, You Will

• Formulate, develop and test new wet wipe products and technologies based on relevant consumer insights in support of Private Label and Branded initiatives
• Utilize scientific principles and experimental design to solve formulation challenges and improve product functionality
• Conduct and report all technical testing and experiments in support of projects, including physical testing, competitive benchmarking, sensory/panel testing, stability testing and efficacy testing
• Submit formulations for safety, clinical, regulatory and legal review and ensure compliance with all corporate and regulatory standards
• Prepare samples as needed for external testing requirements, including customer comps/prototypes, samples for safety/clinical tests, consumer tests, etc.
• Develop new test methods to support product differentiation and claims
• Document formulation findings, prepare technical reports, and present results to internal stakeholders
• Support line trial and product scale-up by working closely with Operations on key initiatives
• Manage time independently, ensure proper documentation in laboratory notebook, and comply with all corporate safety and quality standards
• Supervise any assigned technician or temporary personnel
  
  

What We Expect From You In The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in science (Chemistry or related field) and or Engineering (Chemistry) required. Master’s Degree is an advantage
• Strong record of academic success
• Computer proficiency (Outlook / Word / Excel / Project)
• 0-5+ year’s work experience, preferably in personal care and surface care R&D/product development
• Understanding of formulations science and technical testing/validation
• Strong understanding of the product development process from concept ideation to launch.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Results-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to multi-task, with strong time management skills
• Ability to display flexibility and adapt to change
• Proactive, independent and a willingness to take on new challenges
