The Senior Academic Manager at Bluebeam is responsible for representing Bluebeam Inc.’s mission to seed the next generation of industry leaders. Bluebeam Academic Program achieves this by serving as a bridge from the classroom to the field for students and educators in the industry.

The Bluebeam Academic Program adheres to three core pillars: Access, Equip, and Inspire. The goal is to increase accessibility, provide resources and inspire the next generation of AEC industry leaders in the educational community with a greater utilization and adoption of Bluebeam.

This role is responsible for conceptualizing, executing and managing programs and initiatives to support Bluebeam’s academic mission and its three pillars.

What You’ll Do

  • Creates and communicates an executable strategic development plan of The Bluebeam Academic Program; define goals, initiatives and activities that align with the organization and Bluebeam Retention, which can help scale the program in new and existing markets.
  • Communicates and consults often with internal teams on academic program development, creative strategies and represents the academic community within Bluebeam’s interdepartmental planning meetings.
  • Manages and maintains program initiatives from concept through execution and channels appropriate follow-up, as needed.
  • Identifies, develops and manages unique academic related engagement, partnership and sponsorship opportunities, defines Bluebeam’s participation roles and leads coordination in industry events that meet Bluebeam’s Academic Program goals.
  • Attends trade shows and education-focused events on behalf of Bluebeam and in direct support of its Academic Program.
  • Regularly communicates with potential and existing academic customers (students, educators, program admins, and the like) in order to build relationships, understand educational goals and needs, serve as a resource for recruiting knowledge to key and strategic customer targets, and aid in adoption and implementation of Bluebeam Revu and other offerings in the classroom.
  • Leads and can lead team(s) of web and in-person product demonstrations for educational community—including but not limited to faculty and students.
  • Continuously learning Bluebeam products as they develop and ensures how they can be strategically integrated and grow within the academic ecosystem.
  • Manages, develops and executes academic communications strategy, content and program assets. Including: webpage, emails, surveys, marketing assets, and social media.
  • Tracks and manages Academic Program data and analytics: Provides activity reports on a regular basis to evaluate the program and plan for future development.
  • Manages front-line communication with faculty, students, administrators, and industry professionals; manage academic@bluebeam.com email alias.
  • Manages academic licensing:
    • Manages internal academic licensing strategy and regular communication with internal teams for continual improvement.
    • Consults academic partners on licensing options and eligibility for free/discounted licenses.
    • Interface and coordinate with academic IT staff and faculty for licensing and installation questions and issues.
    • Manages basic-to-technical support and licensing support questions and escalates issues as needed.
About You

  • 8+ years professional experience.
  • 5+ years experience in Marketing and/or Communications.
  • 1+ year(s) of managerial experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university.
  • Professional experience in Administration Management, Strategic Program Development, Marketing and/or Communications.
  • Proven and effective leader in academic program ecosystem as it relates to technology in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project and Program Management experience.
  • Strong ability to nurture new and maintain existing relationships.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Passion for the educational community.
  • A high level of organization and ability to prioritize according to program goals – near and long term.
  • Collaborator and team player with a thoughtful, team-first mentality.
  • Can make and commit to decisions in a timely and intelligent manner and can remain accountable to those decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years AEC industry experience.
  • 1+ years experience using Bluebeam Revu.
  • 5+ years professional experience within academia.

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan.
