Senior Accountant ($85-105k)

Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Frisco, TX - 1-2 Days In-Office

Are you tired of Public Accounting hours but are still looking for the remote flexibility? Join our client's team! We are partnering with a high-growth, publicly-traded organization that is seeking a new addition to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial reports, perform research and analysis, maintain the general ledger including the accuracy of all balance sheet accounts, perform account reconciliations, assist with audit preparations, and carry out other accounting duties as required.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and SOX.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Review and recommend modifications to account systems and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issue of non-compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Cross train in other areas of Finance and Accounting for coverage as needed.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's Degree is preferred
• CPA is preferred
• Prior working experience with SEC or SOX compliance is required
• Previous experience within Public Accounting, specifically Audit, is required
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, filters, etc.) is required
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
