Salary: 70,000 to 80,000

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team in West Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, and will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial health and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, including budget variance analysis and financial forecasts.
- General Ledger Management:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
- Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Coordinate and support external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Tax and Regulatory Filings:
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including mentoring and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, general ledger management, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software implementations.
