Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Assist in supervision and training/development of Staff Accountants & Accountants.
• Support multiple technologies including Concur, Versapay and other automated systems
• Review and analyze trial balance and financials
• Works closely with the applicable company personnel to ensure accuracy of financial reporting, working capital packages, and budgets.
• Carry out month-end close procedures including preparation and/or review of account reconciliations, posting of monthly general journal entries, analyzing Trial balance, and preparing variance comments for management
• Create and issue property invoicing & deliverables
• Assist with accounts receivable process including A/R analysis and collection, A/R aging review, and correspondence regarding customer balances.
• Review journal entries prepared by Staff Accountant/Accountant. May record journal entries for more complex accounting areas.
• Ensure records are being maintained timely, accurately and in compliance with GAAP or other basis of accounting.
• General ledger review and analysis.
• Assist in Property and company Annual Plan/Budget/Projection preparation process by preparing revenue and expense projections and variance analysis for certain accounts, generating reports, and preparing budget package.
• Prepare information for various audits (e.g., external, internal, tenant), as needed.
• Carry out the proper procedures to ensure internal controls are being met.
• Assist the supervisor and controllers with projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficient with Excel and prior use of an ERP system
• 3 plus years of experience
• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Perform numerical and financial calculations
• General knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Compose business letters, expositions, summaries, and reports, using proper format, punctuation, grammar, diction and style
• Exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Analyze and interpret various types of data in order to draw conclusions and solve problems
• Proven initiative for working independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet multiple deadlines under minimal supervision

Pay:

• $90,000-$110,000 based on experience
