Pickleball.com is seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the Company and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial records. Your attention to detail, organizational prowess, and analytical ability will play a vital role in ensuring success for Pickleball.com.

Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition Analysis

• Assist in compliance with ASC 606 by preparing revenue recognition entries monthly by understanding and manipulating large data sets from accounting systems.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

General Ledger Management

• Maintain the general ledger and supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on financial performance, trends, and variances.

Financial Systems

• Utilize accounting software and ERP systems effectively.
• Stay updated with advancements in financial technology.

Financial Projects

• Participate in special financial projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, or process improvements.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, HR, and operations, to ensure accurate and timely exchange of financial information.

Risk Management

• Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA highly preferred.
• Proven experience as an accountant, with 2+ years at a national accounting firm preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

This role will be on-site at our Dallas HQ.
