Senior Accountant

Siegfried Rivera is seeking a Senior Accountant with 6+ years of accounting experience in a law firm. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment. Essential skills include:

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles in a legal context.
• Proficiency in legal billing, accounts payable/receivable, and accounting procedures.
• Experience in preparing monthly financial reports and reconciling multiple bank accounts.
• Ability to perform month-end closing activities and review journal entries.
• Competence in GL coding, auditing expenses, and analyzing trust/prepaid balances.
• Skilled in data analysis, identifying inconsistencies, and auditing outstanding checks.
• Proficiency with biweekly payroll processing and payroll journal entries.
• Familiarity with online banking, including reviewing transactions and wire transfers.
• Strong time management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with PerfectLaw software preferred.
