Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, project management experience, and a solid understanding of internal controls. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, and successful project management within the accounting function.


Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage accounting projects from inception to completion, including system upgrades, process improvements, and special financial analyses. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project outcomes.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Perform periodic internal control reviews and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Audit Coordination: Support external and internal audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and company policies. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues. Conduct training sessions to enhance the team’s technical skills and knowledge.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory role. Proven track record of managing accounting projects and implementing internal controls.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Strong experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results on time and within scope.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
