Senior Accountant Our client is in search of an experienced, action-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. This individual will be responsible for accurately recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions. They will support the preparation of the company's financial statements by preparing monthly journal entries, variance reports, reconciliations, and various schedules.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
Support the preparation of SEC filings and assist with audits and tax filings.
Manage cash and accounts payable functions, including bank reconciliations.
Conduct variance analysis, prepare financial reports, and highlight key findings and trends.
Contribute to the implementation and improvement of internal controls and procedures.
Prepare month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for month-end close.
Assist audit teams by preparing PBCs and support with financial package preparation, including monthly exhibits and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Public accounting experience is required, CPA is highly preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel).
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
