Senior Accountant - Consultant

LHH is partnered with a growing SaaS company for a full-remote Senior Accountant position! This company is located in Nashville, TN and this Senior Accountant can come in one day a week if desired. Also, this position has the opportunity to become permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced monthly closing process
• Comprehend the composition of financial statements and perform analytical reviews, identifying trends and providing clear explanations
• Prepare and/or approve journal entries and account reconciliations related to revenue, unbilled accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and deferred costs, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete
• Assist in integrating revenue, receivable, and billing activities for future acquisitions.
• Help develop and document business processes and policies to enhance and maintain strong internal controls
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes
• Participate in and lead process improvement initiatives and projects as needed
• Prepare accurate and timely financial information, researching and responding to inquiries as required
• Support external auditors during annual audits

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Netsuite experience is a plus
• Revenue accounting experience is required
• Excel skills are a must
