Location: We are recruiting for senior level positions at multiple office locations right now! We are recruiting for team members in our tax department in our Rome and Syracuse offices.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Review and/or prepare individual and business returns.
• Review and/or prepare financial statement compilations and reviews.
• Work with clients to build relationships and provide strategies for accounting, tax planning, and consulting solutions.
• Identify and research tax and accounting issues using internet-based tools, and communicate and document the results orally and/or written in a clear and concise manner.
• Display an understanding of professional standards, GAAP, tax laws/rules.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours or working toward the 150 hours for CPA eligibility in New York State.
• CPA preferred (or actively preparing for the CPA examination).
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting is required.
• Experience or ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, be organized, prioritize and follow Firm policies/procedures.
• Ability to work directly and communicate with clients and have a commitment to exceptional client service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be a quick learner and want to contribute to the growth of the Firm.
• Working knowledge of ProSystem fx Tax, ProSystem fx Engagement, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required for possible travel at clients’ offices using a personal vehicle.
• Must have the ability to work additional hours during busy season as applicable and needed.
