Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a results-driven Senior Accounting Manager to join our rapidly growing medical management company. The Senior Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records across our multiple locations throughout the United States. This leadership position requires exceptional expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and process optimization within the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities
1. Financial Management
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the organization's financial operations, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, tax compliance, and cash flow management
- Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in adherence with applicable regulations and accounting standards
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing detailed reports and insights to executive leadership, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks
2. Process Optimization:
- Assess existing accounting processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Streamline financial workflows, leveraging technological advancements to automate manual processes and reduce the potential for errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and accuracy of financial data.
3. Strategic Financial Planning
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for achieving business objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Continuously monitor financial performance against established targets, making proactive adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. A CPA or MBA is desired.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Expert level QBO and Excel skills
Deep understanding of cash and accrual accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet deadlines
