We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to provide sound operational leadership in all aspects of our business, helping to grow our current (and future) functional groups.

Strategic thinking, strong business acumen and identifying the most simple and impactful solutions to problems are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in creating operational efficiency and continuous process improvement as well familiar with a variety of business concepts. Being an excellent communicator and public speaker will serve you well in this role.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and diligent Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, you will oversee managers within the accounting department. In this critical role, you will interpret financial data for executive decision-making, lead external audits, act as the liaison for the accounting department, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the company's accounting and financial reporting. Success in this position requires precision, efficiency, the ability to quickly grasp new concepts, and strong critical thinking skills.

Senior Accounting Manager Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, oversight, and support to the Purchase Order Reconciliation, Corporate Accounting and Accounts Receivable teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact ("liaison") for the accounting department, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with other departments
  • Play a pivotal role in strengthening, developing and implementing internal financial controls
  • Maintain and enhance a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to support the company's growth
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all accounting and financial activities across multiple entities
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring the books are closed within six business days
  • Facilitate monthly financial review meetings with executives
  • Analyze and interpret financial data for executives, providing insights to inform strategic business decisions
  • Review financial statements for reasonableness and investigate any unusual items
  • Lead external audits and ensure that audit requests provided by the accounting team are accurate and delivered promptly
  • Solve operational problems, improve processes and procedures, and monitor the progress of open projects and ad-hoc tasks to ensure all KPIs are met in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned


Senior Accounting Manager Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • 8+ years’ experience in corporate finance or accounting role
  • 3+ years’ experience in a management role
  • Small to Medium Business experience required
  • Strong technical research skills, including experience with US GAAP
  • Fluent in written and oral English
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases, tech savvy is a must
  • Advanced Excel Skills required
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets required
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Ability to navigate multiple sources of information quickly and accurately
  • Superior math skills and an analytical mind
  • Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details
  • Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
  • Outstanding phone and email etiquette
  • Able to thrive in deadline-driven environment and think outside of the box
  • Organizational skills permitting the effective management of several concurrent projects and priorities.
