Job Description

Lightview Capital is a leading private equity firm focused exclusively on investing in investing in recapitalizations and buyouts within the technology and business services sector. Founded by Conor Mullett and Rich Erickson, Lightview has a strong track record of partnering with founders and management to invest in and build industry-leading firms.

Our investment strategy is to help profitable companies in the lower middle market accelerate growth to reach their full potential by taking a hands-on approach and leveraging our extensive operating experience and network of affiliated senior executives. We typically invest in bootstrapped, founder-led companies and corporate carve-outs.

Lightview seeks to augment its team immediately by adding a senior associate with experience leading deals in the private equity industry. An attractive candidate must have (1) a compelling desire to join an entrepreneurial and growing private equity team, (2) the maturity to interact and communicate with senior-level executives of both targets and portfolio companies and (3) strong analytical skills, including experience building financial models and PowerPoint presentations, The position will work on all aspects of the investment process, including but not limited to the following:

Sourcing

• Conduct Sector focused research and develop investment theses to identify themes of interest and proprietary acquisition targets
• Make outbound connections to target companies via multiple paths, including phone, social media, and email
• Develop relationships with assigned smaller investment banks and brokers to cultivate inbound deal flow
• Attend industry-specific tradeshows and conferences

Deal Management

• Conduct company and industry-specific strategic and financial research
• Aid in the building complex, flexible financial models and ad hoc analysis to support deal valuation and structuring efforts
• Support aspects of the due diligence process in evaluating new portfolio and add-on investments
• Creating investment presentations for equity and debt providers
• Negotiation and processing of NDAs

Portfolio Support

• Assist the partners in developing and monitoring value creation plans of portfolio companies
• Building and maintaining key performance indicators and Board of Directors deck support
• Supporting annual budget construction and other ad hoc analysis
• Quarterly Portco valuation analysis and support
• Assist portfolio companies in developing M&A growth strategies, sourcing targets, diligencing and closing add-on acquisitions

Firm Operations

• Managing firm infrastructure, including deal flow pipeline, investor network databases, and ad hoc operational items (e.g.: website maintenance, internal folders)
• LP presentations and return support

Candidate Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of total experience in investment banking, management consulting, or other applicable setting, including 1 to 3 years of private equity experience
• An engaging and energetic personality with a high energy and maturity level with excitement about interacting with investment targets, bankers, and executives
• A quick study with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and expediently complete numerous assignments in time-sensitive situations
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
• Exceptional MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an ability to distill complex analysis and information to easily digestible and understandable presentations
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills
• Technology and/or business services sector experience preferred but not required
• Driven, proactive self-starter with an ability to multitask in a dynamic and decentralized environment
• Detail-oriented with a proven ability to perform at a high level
• Undergraduate degree in a business-related or technical field (e.g, engineering) from a leading institution with a strong track record of academic achievement

Location: West Palm Beach, FL. On-site is required.
