About the Team

The Consumer Strategy & Operations team drives the end-to-end consumer experience on the DoorDash marketplace, connecting our customers with everything their neighborhood has to offer. We are building a personalized homepage, inspiring pages for restaurant and new vertical categories, relevant search experiences, and reviews & ratings to accelerate marketplace growth.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate on the Consumer team, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of food delivery and local commerce. You have the opportunity to work on a highly visible consumer product, making the DoorDash experience the best it can be for millions of users worldwide. This role is dynamic and multifaceted and will challenge you to grow your strategic mindset, business acumen, and analytical skills. You will partner with Product, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to drive the discovery roadmap, measure impact of initiatives, and manage performance trends. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys going deep on problems and working on high visibility projects with significant business impact.

You will report into the Manager of Consumer Strategy & Ops on our US Marketplace team.

  • Own the operational excellence for initiatives within the Consumer team, focused on driving user engagement & discovery on DoorDash
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics teams to align consumer initiatives with broader company goals and objectives
  • Ensure operational excellence by maintaining data integrity, timely reporting, and visibility into strategic projects
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization
  • Lead the ideation, prioritization, and execution of experiments to drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to align teams on key objectives and decisions

We're excited about you because…

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in strategy, product, analytics, operations, or banking/consulting
  • You can solve analytical problems quickly, and are experienced in SQL and/or Excel
  • You have a track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment
  • You enjoy solving different types of problems, and like thinking outside of the box. You like to learn new skills, and can apply them to your work quickly and independently.
  • You are an owner, meaning you take responsibility for outcomes, have experience being in the driver's seat, and want to shape the vision and direction of the company
  • You have a bias towards action, are scrappy, and can pivot when you learn new information
  • You can influence and motivate people at all levels across a variety of job functions

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York and Washington.
