Title: Senior Audit Associate

Location: Frisco, TX (Hybrid - Dependent Upon Your Schedule)

Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 + Up To 20% Bonus Potential + 100% Paid Employee Benefits

Our client is a reputable public accounting firm known for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse range of clients. Their team is dedicated to excellence, integrity, and innovation in the accounting field. They are currently seeking a skilled Senior Audit Associate to join our team and contribute to the success of our audit engagements.

The Senior Audit Associate will play a critical role in leading and executing audit engagements, providing valuable insights, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements. This role involves managing audit teams, interacting with clients, and applying accounting standards to deliver high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute audit engagements from planning through to completion, including interim and final audits.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback throughout the audit process.
• Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for audit procedures.
• Review and analyze financial statements and related disclosures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate financial data and identify areas of risk.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and evaluate risk factors affecting financial reporting.
• Identify control weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement to enhance clients' financial processes.
• Prepare and review audit reports, financial statements, and management letters, summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to clients and senior management, addressing any issues or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and firm policies.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to provide informed audit services.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the audit process.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and methodologies for audit engagements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA is required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a strong background in auditing.
• Proven experience in managing audit engagements and supervising junior staff.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
