Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position involves analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep business acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and documentation of complex business processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Develop and present business cases for proposed projects or process improvements.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring that deliverables meet business requirements and timelines.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders through reports and presentations.
  • Ensure alignment of business objectives with technology solutions and organizational strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of business process modeling, data analysis, and requirements gathering.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools and methodologies (e.g., SWOT analysis, BPMN, use case modeling).
  • Experience with project management and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading junior analysts is preferred.
  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus.
