Senior Business Analyst - Defense Sector Supply Chain Optimization

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze & Optimize: Conduct thorough requirements gathering, business process analysis, and reengineering to support the Navy's Naval Operational Supply System (NOSS) implementation.
  • Document & Improve: Assess and document existing information systems, business processes, and performance metrics to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Lead Workshops: Facilitate workshops to gather requirements, map business processes, and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate: Work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and budgetary counterparts to design efficient supply chain processes and support program management.
  • Create & Communicate: Develop clear and accurate technical content, including use cases, user stories, and functional specifications. Present project status updates using Microsoft Suite.
  • Adapt & Innovate: Employ agile methodologies like scrum and kanban to adapt to evolving project needs and deliver impactful solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 8-10 years in IT, with expertise in requirements gathering, process analysis, and information systems integration. Experience with business process improvement and reengineering is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead workshops and manage complex projects. Proficiency in Agile/Scrum development, Jira, Confluence, BPMN 2.0 notation, and Microsoft Visio.
  • Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Knowledge of supply chain management and experience with NAVSUP or Navy Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma and Project Management (PMP) certifications are preferred.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Travel: This remote position may require occasional travel for project meetings.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, type and read from a computer screen, and lift up to 30 pounds as necessary.
