Challenging Remote Contract Opportunity in Eastern Time Zone
Join the NC Department of Health and Human Services as a Senior Business Analyst/Technical Writer, supporting IT software development projects implemented by vendors and/or in-house development team. This is a 1-year contract position exclusively for US Citizens or Green Card holders, offering a W-2 Rate of $40/hour.
Key Responsibilities
Identifying and documenting stakeholders, data flows, and current and future state process flows.
Gathering, validating, and maintaining business, functional, and technical/non-functional solution requirements for market analysis, software procurement, and solution development process.
Translating client's business needs into agile themes/features, personas, epics, user stories, and product backlogs or detailed business requirement documents and use cases.
Collaborating with stakeholders to groom user stories and define acceptance criteria to ensure alignment with project goals.
Participating in vendor discovery/gap analysis, detailed requirement development efforts, and user acceptance testing.
Performing requirements traceability throughout project lifecycle and developing procurement documents.
Supporting federal funding acquisition through Advanced Planning Documents.
Assisting in vendor proposal evaluation and process improvement initiatives.
Conducting market research, analysis, and document management.
Providing technical writing support, including developing project document templates and maintaining project artifacts.
Supporting the development of surveys, assessments, project methodologies, and procedures.
Handling meeting agendas, notes, and facilitating requirements gathering meetings.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid development frameworks are essential.
