Vision for this Position

The Senior Business Operations Manager is a self-driven, innovative leader who will be a critical driver in increasing the scalability and efficiency of LAZ operations. Ultimately, the right candidate will drive improvements in capabilities to support our customers and generate sustainable cost savings.

A successful team player who collaborates with Sales and Customer Success will assess and enhance the processes and systems essential to supporting scalable, cost-effective, high-quality interactions with customers and internal groups. The Senior Operations Manager will also lead and support the intake process and prioritize infrastructure improvement projects (projects) that support functions across LAZ.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization
    • Collaborate across the organization to understand and document current processes
    • Identify best practices, risks, and opportunities for improvement
    • Analyze potential root causes of process inefficiencies and propose solutions

  • Policy and Procedure Design
    • Work with various functional departments to design, document, and implement policies and procedures
    • Improve day-to-day business operations without adding unnecessary burden

  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Execute and oversee high-level strategic initiatives while managing detailed operational tasks to ensure seamless execution
    • Ensure smoother workflows and cost-effective business processes
    • Support training by hosting “train the trainer” sessions to ensure seamless change management

  • Infrastructure Improvements & Monitoring
    • Prioritize infrastructure improvement projects proposed by Sales, Marketing, and other functions
    • Collaborate with internal resources to execute those projects
    • Clearly outline the scope and requirements for assigned work with keen attention to detail
    • Track and monitor the execution of infrastructure improvement projects
    • Document business requirements and partner with technology teams to ensure clarifications for technology requirements are confirmed

  • Communication and Insight
    • Maintain constant communication with the LAZ leadership team and other stakeholders
    • Provide insights on process and infrastructure projects
    • Communicate and train on process changes
    • Can work autonomously and is also team-oriented with proven interpersonal skills
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelors or graduate degree in business or industrial engineering disciplines
    • 7+ years of experience in Operations and Process focused roles
    • Technology-based company experience, required
    • Education industry experience, preferred
    • Leverage your professional history of developing and rolling out scalable processes with cross-functional teams
    • Exceptional organizational skills
    • Be an open communicator and collaborator who will respectfully debate to work towards shared commitments and bring others along
    • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions, representing the company with integrity and respect
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support their professional development
    • Have the internal drive to lead and persevere through rapid change
    • Hold yourself and others accountable for meeting commitments
    • Embrace diversity of thoughts and exhibit emotional intelligence
    • Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
