The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of FF&E and OS&E within established budgets, corporate standards, and specifications. This person communicates with suppliers and vendor representatives to ensure shipments and deliveries meet project schedules and timelines. They are also working directly with Project Managers, Designers, General Contractors, and Property Management Teams to communicate project specifics.


The Senior Buyer will work with Managers and Directors as part of a project team for FF&E procurement on new construction and renovation projects, facilities and sales offices. This role will also assist properties with reorder requests and insurance claims. This is a key role that requires research, evaluation and sourcing of furnishings and equipment for timeshare, recreational amenities and related retained assets. Although this role is fully remote, candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Orlando, Fl.


How You’ll Shine

  • Review and understand construction specifications as related to floor plans, elevations, and product requirements. Collaborates with design on changes and implementation of final specifications.
  • Build cost comparisons and preliminary pricing to review the product and services budget.
  • Create and Issue all purchase orders related to each assigned project, adhering to scope, schedule and budget; Obtain order acknowledgements to ensure accuracy of order and invoicing.
  • Takes initiative, especially in the case of problem-solving resolution of product related issues and customer requests. Implements and communicates strategies to the appropriate parties. Acts as liaison between supplier and project team, complying with all processes and procedures, while maintaining performance standards and following appropriate guidelines.
  • Track and report on procurement and expediting and ensure complete and timely delivery of ordered product and services. Assist with site logistics for goods and services in coordination with project team.
  • Obtain and process invoices and proformas while reconciling deliveries of goods with payment status.
  • Maintain a wide variety of project records and files (status reports, budgets, change orders, RFP’s, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.
  • Expected to become a product expert and manage supplier information in regard to one or more FF&E/OS&E commodities.
  • Contribute to new procurement policies and improvements to team processes.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
  • Light travel may occasionally be required. Locally and US based.


What You’ll Bring

  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Detailed oriented/ self-starter with the ability to successfully conduct multiple projects and tasks in a dynamic, fast paced and changing environment.
  • Must possess good judgment and independent decision-making abilities and utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members including design, project management and general contractors.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers, suppliers, and management.
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated numerical/analytical skills are essential.
  • Solid understanding of ethical procurement practices.
  • Promotes excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.
  • Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and positive attitude while being proactive, motivated, and disciplined.
  • Demonstrates negotiation skills in cost reductions and lead time reductions.
  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft applications and the ability to learn other applications as needed.
  • 4 years of FF&E procurement experience in a timeshare or hospitality environment or high-volume construction materials preferred.
