Senior Consultant/ Controller

Job Summary:

We are actively seeking a Senior Consultant to join a strong team that helps lead our clients into the future. This position will be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, managing the finance and accounting departments, accounting system conversion, and job costing analysis.

Job Duties:

• Month-end close responsibilities
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, and critical analysis of changes in account balances
• Maintenance of and comparative analysis against annual budget, and interim forecasts
• Historical financial statement review and correction as necessary
• Development and implementation of best practices for accounting policies and procedures, providing training to client staff as necessary
• Maximize efficiencies, organize work processes and procedures, and automate procedures through system improvements

Qualifications and Skills

• B.S./B.A. in Accounting
• 5+ years of diverse public and private accounting experience
• Prior experience with a professional service company
• Prior public accounting experience is a plus
• Holding an active CPA credential is a plus
