So, what’s the role?
Kin is taking on the home insurance market with accelerated growth to help customers in climate-affected states get quality coverage. As a direct-to-consumer business, we are transforming the way homeowners access insurance. We are looking for a Senior Content Manager to create high-impact content across our customer lifecycle. You will spend half of your time executing against content priorities while also managing a small team and collaborating with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a high-impact opportunity to truly elevate our content and drive value for our audiences.

So, what’s the role?

As a direct-to-consumer business, we are transforming the way homeowners access insurance. We are looking for a Senior Content Manager to create high-impact content across our customer lifecycle. You will spend half of your time executing against content priorities while also managing a small team and collaborating with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a high-impact opportunity to truly elevate our content and drive value for our audiences.
A Day In The Life Could Include
- Create targeted, high-impact content for various stages of the customer lifecycle.
- Write and edit compelling blog posts and newsletter articles, enhancing our brand presence and improving search rankings.
- Collaborate with legal, insurance product, and other subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and captures the nuance necessary for operating in a regulated industry.
- Partner with Sr. SEO Manager to produce evergreen content with the ability to rank well in search results
- Coordinate with internal marketing partners, including organic and paid channel owners, to create and optimize content calendars, keying in upon promotion-worthy content and topic ideas.
- Build and refine processes to ensure content on kin.com is up-to-date, accurate, and impactful.
- Partner with the design team, employer brand, and other internal partners to strengthen our brand voice and ensure cohesive messaging across channels, ultimately driving preference and conversion.
- Publish content on our website and provide actionable feedback on opportunities to improve our CMS and unlock scale
- Execute and manage a small team to ensure excellence in our content.
- 10+ years of journalism, communications, or content marketing experience, ideally within tech and/or business reporting/editing
- Advanced writing skills and a keen understanding of developing effective messaging
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism or related field
- Ability to handle the fast pace of a startup while working effectively within the constraints of a regulated industry
- Strong collaboration, prioritization, and project management skills with high attention to detail
- Growth mindset, willing to roll up sleeves with the belief that the buck stops with you
- Firm understanding of Google's Helpful Content Guidelines
- Familiarity with CMS systems and analytics tools
