Business Insider is hiring a Senior Correspondent with deep-subject area expertise in tech issues to join our Discourse Team and analyze and illuminate the day's events in one of our core areas of coverage.
Business Insider is for people who are driven, optimistic and always looking forward. Our mission is to inspire action through thought-provoking stories. We tell our audience what they want and need to know to improve their lives and the world with storytelling that is accessible, smart, sometimes unexpected, and always helpful. Our team members embody and uphold Business Insider's three core values: we are all one team, we are effective, and we strive to get better every day.
The Role & Team:
This position will play a key role in Business Insider's renewed focus on business, tech, and innovation. The correspondent's work will be featured prominently on the site's homepage, newsletters, push alerts, and social media.
Each week, the correspondent will write two to three explainers that unpack and explore the news cycle's most interesting and urgent topics in tech, from Elon Musk's latest moves to the ongoing emergence of AI. Stories will answer pressing questions and make bold arguments that change the way our audience views the forces that are shaping our world. The subjects will be topical; the tone will be smart, curious, and thought-provoking. They possess this ability because they are incredibly well-read and sharp at framing issues in ways that others have overlooked.
