Position Overview
The Senior Director, Analytics and Insights at Guideline will oversee the development and implementation of advanced data analytical strategies as well as produce market-leading storytelling and data visualization. This role involves collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to refine and enhance product features and communication strategies based on in-depth market insights and data-driven analysis. The Senior Director will also spearhead predictive analytics and forecasting initiatives to anticipate industry trends, drive product innovation and shape strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and interpret media spend and pricing trends in the advertising landscape, building both quantitative and qualitative intelligence.
- Ensure clear and impactful story-telling as Guideline’s data is put before the company’s key stakeholders: agency partners, subscribers, industry bodies and trade press.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to enhance GTM and product marketing efforts
- Lead data analyst resources focused on developing insights products, market reports, thought leadership pieces, and data-driven PR.
- Work closely with customers to understand intelligence and visualization needs, reducing time-to-value and enhancing insight readiness.
- Lead and advance the company's capabilities in forecasting and predictive analytics to anticipate media market trends.
- Work with the Product Strategy team to incorporate data science and advanced analytics into product innovation.
- Support and enhance data quality assurance through advanced analytics, ensuring high standards across all company products.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of media marketplace insight and research, including experience in understanding and quantitatively describing ad market dynamics
- Superior analytical skills with keen ability to develop and articulate meaningful insights for a variety of constituents within the media industry
- Proven ability to lead data analysts and influence product and strategy decisions through data-driven insights.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling using SQL, Python, R, or similar tools/languages.
- Excellent data visualization (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Sisense, Looker or similar) skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in translating complex data into compelling stories for a varied audience.
