Senior Director, Business Development

Location: McClean, VA (remote with ~1 monthly meeting on-site)

IntelliBridge is seeking an experienced Business Development (BD) operations and proposal professional to leverage our outstanding capabilities, past performance, operational and technical know-how, and contract vehicles to support growth across the company.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Business Development is responsible for numerous aspects of both the day-to-day and the strategic operations of the IntelliBridge Business Development and Growth Team. This position works collaboratively with the Sr. VP of Business Development (BD) and the Chief Growth Officer to recommend, implement, and manage strategies and processes for developing proposals and integrating capture on assigned pursuits as well as coordination and collaboration with Operations, Capture, Technology, Innovation Group (TIG), Contracts, HR/Recruiting, Pricing, and Security in support of IntelliBridge’s overall Growth strategy. Specifically, the Senior Director, Business Development will help support, manage, and improve the following:

  • BD Processes – Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, manage, support, and continuously improve IntelliBridge’s proposal (RFP and RFI) management and production processes.
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Templates and artifacts
  • Tools and technology (SharePoint, PerfectIt, etc.)
  • Win themes and differentiators
  • Color Reviews
  • Proposal close-out and lessons learned
  • Coordination and communication
  • Ensure high quality, compliant, and compelling proposals
  • BD Operations – Support current BD operations, manage resources, and maintain situational awareness across multiple simultaneous prime and sub bids.
  • Provide direct support with writing, editing, and proposal color reviews as needed
  • Ensure adequate resources for responses and reviews, to include technical writers; contribute to writing and reviewing as appropriate
  • Leverage and optimize SharePoint and MS Teams to fully enable BD operations
  • Support Gate Reviews, documentation, and compliance with the same (bid/no-bid and Capture Gates)
  • Help manage the proper use of Salesforce by the BD/Growth team (completeness, accuracy, timeliness, functionality)
  • Support opportunity pipeline reviews, strategy, and opportunity working sessions
  • Conduct training for BD Team, Capture Managers, and Operations personnel
  • Generate performance reports and metrics (Quality Performance metrics, internal metrics, pipeline data, etc.)
  • BD Knowledge Management – Help oversee the collection, standardization, organization, and management of IntelliBridge knowledge in furtherance of the overall Growth Strategy.
  • Help identify best practices to collect and organize IntelliBridge contract past performance documentation
  • Help identify best practices to collect and organize IntelliBridge technical approach writeups (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps, Operations & Maintenance, Cybersecurity) as well as management approach writeups (e.g., staffing, contract management, risk management, communications)
  • Leadership, Professional Development, and Culture
  • Maintain unwavering professional integrity and business ethics in all engagements and protect confidentiality of IntelliBridge’s proprietary information and intellectual property.
  • Invest time and energy in the mentoring and professional development of BD Team members
  • Leverage communication and leadership skills to enhance team morale and cohesiveness; identify related risks and identify recommendations for improvement


Position Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in federal business development.
  • Proven experience supporting the proposal management process including planning, writing, editing, color reviews, compliance, production, and close out.
  • Experienced with the full BD Operations life cycle including pipeline development/management, bid/no bid decisions, teaming, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of US Government contracting, including contract types (e.g., GWACS, BPAs), vehicles, (e.g., OASIS+, GSA MAS, CIO-SP3), and different procurement processes (e.g., traditional, multi-phase, coding challenges, orals).
  • Knowledgeable of current and best IT practices and emerging technology.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple ongoing projects.


Education And/or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required


Master’s a plus in related field.
