Senior Director, Delivery (Remote)

Job Summary:

The Sr. Director, Delivery provides strategy, determine resources, enhance internal structure, and position the company for increased value in the market. In addition to working collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer and management team to optimize the path to revenue, profit, and delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the vision, strategy and financial/operational planning for the business unit.
  • Provide executive level oversight for all key functions, including sales and delivery.
  • Continue development and implementation of BU’s strategies that accelerates revenue production with current client base and focuses on new customer acquisition.
  • Enhance the business unit’s product strategy, diversifying markets, products and services as appropriate.
  • Provide balance in strategic execution between sales, service, consulting, product, and technology as market footprint grows.
  • Determine market positioning/messaging that delivers a unified vision to both internal colleagues and external constituents.
  • Further define, develop, and implement necessary internal infrastructures, such as processes and metrics, and talent planning and acquisition. Drive performance standards and accountability.
  • Create a results-oriented, team-environment where capital/resources are allocated wisely to achieve company goals.
  • Communicate proactively and transparently with all stakeholders regarding the state of the business.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Increase revenue in a sustainable and scalable manner.
  • Establish key performance metrics for the business unit with accountability and results.
  • Increase customer retention and expansion.
  • Empower business unit’s individual performance and cultivate a shared brand identity.
  • Retain and develop key talent; hire as necessary to fill gaps or upgrade skills.
  • Develop a disciplined, focused and clearly articulated growth plan.
  • Create an employee environment that fosters confidence, engagement and energy that is high across the company.
  • Increase sales by improving customer understanding of the company’s portfolio and expanding their footprint within customers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree preferred with a specialization in public finance and experience with/for public agencies in a senior executive capacity.
  • Experience in city and/or county government.
  • Excellent knowledge of public finance.
  • Strong familiarity local government operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Seasoned leader who managed in complex business models driving change and transformation with rigor, clear vision, and results-orientation.
  • Skilled leader who has high EQ leading diverse stakeholders, as well as working with political leaders within government.
  • Demonstrated skill and success with organizational architecture and people management.
  • Ability to adjust behavior to new information and changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manages successful teams.
  • Effective communicator, who expresses him/herself, clearly to a variety of audiences; is an active listener.
  • A strategic manager who is able to assimilate large amounts of complex and diverse information and focus on the core ideas and issues.
  • Someone who takes a long-term view and builds a shared core purpose; and influences others to act on the core purpose.
  • Knowledge of marketing, selling, and delivery to public sector clients is preferred.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
  • This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
