$230,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr

We are partnered with a growing gene therapy startup in South San Francisco seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of In Vivo Pharmacology to lead the research group on preclinical program development across in vivo pharmacology, supporting programs to successful IND application. This organization is working on a novel approach using a non-viral targeted gene therapy to treat unmet needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preclinical program development, managing in vivo pharmacology across design, implementation, target validation, translational biology, and more
  • Identify and oversee activities and CROs, fostering effective partnership between internal and external partners
  • Conduct independent research to improve in vivo research methods and technologies, presenting findings to leadership regarding strategy for pharmacology


Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Genetics, Biochemistry, Immunology and a minimum of 15 years of industry experience in leading in vivo pharmacology studies
  • Experience in leading non-GLP and GLP studies is required, with 10 years managing teams, preferably in the gene therapy field
  • Track record of getting programs through IND filing
